Of all the stars, your quiet shining moved me most.

Uniquely radiant, with swirling, textured light;

orbiting like no other.

Twinkling modest brilliance at the universe edge.

Distinct and singular, apart from all the rest.

Pulsing steady near the limit of our sight.

And while the light source is no longer,

Your steadfast image reaches us,
